GulpGoals ("GulpGoals," "we," "us," or "our") provides a wellness tracking platform that helps users track hydration, nutrition, caffeine, fiber, protein, symptoms, medications, activity-related information, and related wellness habits. Our services include AI-assisted food and drink scanning, gamification, Team Gauntlet challenges, health-summary exports, caregiver sharing, and GulpGoals for Business.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the GulpGoals application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our End User Agreement, available at https://gulpgoals.com/end-user-agreement. The End User Agreement governs your use of the Service, while this Privacy Policy explains our privacy practices and your privacy rights.
We may collect information you provide directly to us, including:
Some of this information may constitute "sensitive personal information," "sensitive data," "protected health information," or a similar category under applicable law. We process this information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise authorized by you or permitted by law.
When you use the Service, we may collect information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, including account activity, feature usage, challenge participation, app performance information, device or browser information, log information, and similar technical information.
Subscriptions and other paid features may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. Payment information is processed securely by the applicable payment provider, and GulpGoals does not store your complete payment card number. We may receive limited transaction information, such as payment status, subscription status, billing dates, and the last four digits or card-brand information supplied by the payment processor.
We use personal information to:
We do not use your health information to provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, or replace the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.
The AI food and drink scanner may process photos, images, barcodes, and related descriptions to estimate water, caffeine, protein, fiber, sodium, and other nutritional information and to suggest possible healthier alternatives.
AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or based on assumptions. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting entries before relying on them. AI-generated information is provided for general wellness and educational purposes only and is not medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or substitute for consulting a qualified healthcare professional.
We process scanner submissions to provide the requested functionality, maintain associated logs, improve the reliability and security of the Service, and perform other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell scanner submissions or use them for third-party advertising.
GulpGoals allows you to generate health summaries and reports, including PDF and CSV files that may contain hydration, nutrition, fiber, caffeine, symptoms, medications, milestones, or related information.
You may voluntarily download, export, or share these reports with a healthcare provider, caregiver, family member, employer, or another person of your choice. Exporting or sharing a report is initiated by you. Once you download or provide a report to another person or organization, GulpGoals does not control how that recipient stores, uses, redistributes, or protects the report.
Reports and summaries are for informational wellness purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition, and they are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
GulpGoals is not a medical device manufacturer, healthcare provider, health plan, or health insurance company. Unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise, GulpGoals is not acting as a "covered entity" or "business associate" under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). HIPAA or other healthcare privacy laws may apply separately to a healthcare provider or other recipient that receives a report from you.
GulpGoals for Business enables organizations to administer team challenges, incentive campaigns, GulpPoints rewards, and engagement programs. Depending on the arrangement, the participating organization may determine how certain employee or participant information is collected and used, and GulpGoals may process that information on the organization's behalf.
Individual wellness data is not provided to customer administrators by default, and any sharing or administrator access depends on your direction, configured features, applicable law, and the applicable contract. Information available to an organization may include enrollment information, account identifiers, challenge participation, points, badges, milestone information, and aggregate or deidentified participation analytics. Participation information is presented at team level rather than as an individual ranking, and no ranking of individual health information is published. The specific information available to an organization depends on the applicable program, contract, configuration, notices, and user choices.
Unless clearly disclosed to you and authorized or permitted by applicable law, employer and organization administrators are not given access to your private health logs, medication information, symptoms, or individual nutrition records merely because you participate in a GulpGoals for Business program.
The organization sponsoring a program may provide additional privacy notices or instructions. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and a written agreement governing a GulpGoals for Business program, the written agreement controls to the extent of the conflict.
GulpGoals for Business customers are responsible for providing legally required notices, obtaining required permissions, configuring their programs appropriately, and ensuring that their use of employee or participant information complies with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information. We never have and we will not sell it in the future.
We may use aggregated or deidentified information to operate, analyse, and improve the Service, and to provide program-level reporting to GulpGoals for Business customers. We do not sell that information, and we do not use it to re-identify you.
We do not share, rent, or disclose your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not share your health logs or account information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes without your explicit, opt-in consent.
You may grant or withdraw consent for optional sharing through Settings then Privacy, where that control is available.
We may disclose limited information to service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, security, analytics, customer support, communications, payment processing, and infrastructure providers. These providers may use information only to provide services to GulpGoals or as otherwise permitted by their agreements with us.
For example, Stripe processes subscription payments on our behalf. GulpGoals does not store your complete payment card information.
